ECNP gears up for Congress 2018
Preparations are in full swing for the next ECNP Congress going to take place in Barcelona, Spain on 6-9 October 2018. You can already start registering and submitting your abstracts through the official congress website.
We also have renowned keynote and plenary speakers who will give lectures on several scientific topics.
Application for exhibition space
ECNP exhibition space gives a chance to companies/organisations involved in the treatment of disorders of the brain to present their thoughtware and services in an interaction oriented space at the congress.
The deadline to apply for exhibition space is 15 December 2017.

ECNP Schools 2018: applications open
In 2018 we are organising two ECNP Schools, where junior clinicians will be offered an interactive week of training in the use of CNS treatments with an international faculty of experts.
You can apply now for:
• ECNP School of Child and Adolescent Neuropsychopharmacology going to be held on 8-13 April 2018 in Venice, Italy
Deadline to apply is 1 December 2017
• ECNP School of Neuropsychopharmacology going to be held on 24-29 June 2018 in Oxford, UK

Winner of the photo contest at ECNP Congress 2017
The photo contest that took place in the 30th ECNP Congress 2017 in Paris was a huge hit among the participants.
We received several entries and it was a tough decision for us to choose one winner. We are happy to announce Marco Antonioli as the winner of this contest. He has won a free registration to the 31st ECNP congress 2018 at Barcelona.

ECNP president and ambassador in Brazil
ECNP participated in the 35th Brazilian Congress of Psychiatry in São Paulo with an exhibition booth in October.
ECNP president Celso Arango and ECNP Brazil ambassador Roberto Andreatini represented ECNP at the Congress.
Celso Arango also gave the ECNP-sponsored lecture on 'Primary prevention and mental health: we cannot let this train pass, not once again.'
Visitors to the congress also had the opportunity to interact with the ECNP president and ambassador at the booth.

EQIPD project kicks off in Belgium
On 24-25 October the European Quality in Preclinical Data project (EQIPD) officially kicked off in Beerse in Belgium.
An outgrowth of ECNP’s Preclinical Data Forum, this € 9.5m IMI2 project will last three years and unite more than 20 research groups from industry and academia in an effort to establish systematic guidelines for researchers developing new drugs for conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease.
EQIPD is supported through the Innovative Medicines Initiative partnership between the EU and the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations. It is co-ordinated by Malcolm Macleod of the University of Edinburgh and the project leader is Thomas Steckler of Janssen Pharmaceutica NV.

PRISM project: fourth edition of newsletter
ECNP brings you the fourth edition of the PRISM newsletter. This latest edition has all the updated information about the PRISM project and the exciting progress it has been making.
The project has published two articles already and many more are in the pipeline. PRISM’s work was also featured in the Horizon magazine recently. You can read about all the updates in this newsletter.
